 British ambassador to Azerbaijan Caroline Brown got familiarized with the voting process in the parliamentary elections in several polling stations. Brown has been in the polling stations No.24 and No.19 of the 17th Yasamal Constituency No.3. The diplomat got acquainted with the level of voter turnout and talked with the Electoral Commission's members and observers. Azerbaijan has today launched the parliamentary elections at 08:00 local time. The Azerbaijani CEC reported that 690 candidates will struggle in the elections. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies. Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005. The CEC will provide the information about the voting at 12:00, 15:00, 17:00 and 19:00. TREND |
