
Azerbaijani Consul General to Istanbul has sent about 600 notifications to vote in presidential elections on October 15, Consul General Sayyad Aran told APA that about 600 Azerbaijani citizens had been registered in the diplomatic representations.
Moreover, the diplomat stated that many people were expected to come and vote on the Election Day.
“There are a lot of Azerbaijanis, who work, travel Turkey. Bus service will be rendered to voters on the Election Day”, he said.
Moreover, about 50 people are expected to vote from Bursa. Azerbaijani citizens living in Izmir will vote in this polling station. Aran noted that Consulate General had been provided with election materials and election posters had been hung in areas, where Azerbaijanis lived densely.
To him, Azerbaijani MPs Nizami Jafarov and Musa Guliyev made speeches on elections at Conference Hall of Istanbul Technical University. Azerbaijani teachers, musicians, artists and other persons participated in two-hour meeting. The Consul General and MPs gave broad information about election process in the country and answered questions of members of Diaspora.
Polling station will be established in Azerbaijani Embassy in Ankara on presidential elections on October 15. /APA/
