Azerbaijan National Democratic Party (ANDP) determined its position regarding presidential elections. “The party will not join other opposition parties boycotting the elections. The members of the party are free to vote for candidate who they support,” ANDP Chairman, Tufan Kerimli, told TrendNews on 1 October.
He added that the party intends to observer the presidential elections.
ANDP has not passed State registration and therefore, it can not join the elections with its candidate. The complaint, connected with the non-registration of ANDP by State, is considered by the European Court on Human Rights.Touching upon the question of the registration of party, the ANDP Chairman said that after the congress in August, the documents were repeatedly submitted to the Ministry of Justice for the registration. “The Ministry said that the documents are under consideration, and a response will be made over next few days,” added Kerimli.
