Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will discuss the presidential elections in Azerbaijan at its session in January, 2009, Chief Delegate of Azerbaijan to PACE Samad Seyidov told APA.
The discussions will be held over the document prepared by PACE representatives, who observed the elections in Azerbaijan. “International organizations expressed positive opinions about the elections. The Council of Europe, the European Union and OSCE have already drawn appropriate documents and the discussions will be held just around these opinions. There will be no extra discussions. Observers, visitors and representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will confirm their opinions expressed before. This procedure is organized after the elections in every country. I consider that there will be normal, positive and worthy discussions about the Azerbaijan’s elections at the January session”. /APA/
