The webcam technical control center established at the Central Election Commission (CEC) has been inspected.
APA reports that chairman Mazahir Panahov and Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov visited the center and viewed the activities carried out under the president’s order to expand the use of information communications technologies in the election process.
The specialists said that in connection with the upcoming presidential elections on October 9, webcams have been installed in 20% of the polling stations in the republic. It aims to ensure transparency in the election process.
Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov noted that under President Ilham Aliyev’s instructions on developing ICT in the country, the use of modern ICT system has been expanded at CEC. Webcam control system has been equipped with modern technologies and is in full readiness, polling stations have been provided with information technologies.
